I LOVE LA!

I have to admit I am pretty proud of the fact that I am a California native.  It seems like most of the people I meet these days are transplants from some other state.  As a kid I totally took our great weather and easy access to just about everything for granted.  Being the daughter of two Los Angeles Police officers, I was exposed to many different things to do in Los Angeles.

My Mom used to take us to the Police Academy on occasion so we could watch her qualify.  Police officers are required to qualify at the shooting range several times a year.  Back in those days we were allowed to watch, all we had to do was put in ear plugs, imagine that!  After she was done she would take us some place fun to eat.  I think my favorite was Olvera Street because we got to walk around to all of the fun shops after we ate.

As an adult I have carried on the tradition of doing fun things in LA with my nieces.  They love to go to Olvera Street, China Town and of course their favorite place the Santee Alley    They prefer to eat at Philippe's instead of Olvera Street which is fine with me because they have the best chocolate cream pie ever.  I have also taken them to see several plays at the Pantages.  For a list of fun things to do in LA click here and enjoy!
