The American Dream

Call me Old School but it used to be that those who wanted to achieve the American Dream did so through thrift and hard work.  Before I decided to start a family I wanted to own a home.  My first home was far from what I had in mind for my dream home.  It was a small dirty run down house in a nice neighborhood but it was all we could afford.  Did we gut the entire home and redo everything before we moved in??  No of course not because we couldn't afford to!

Now fast forward 27 years later, that first home is still my home.  I won't go quite so far as to say that it is my dream home but I will say that it is twice the size and quite a bit nicer than it was when I bought it.  My taxes are next to nothing and the best part is that it's mine!  In today's tough economic times it's a good feeling to know I have the security of owning my home.

On this Fourth of July weekend may you all take the time to remember what our Founding Fathers went through so that we could all realize the American Dream.  Oh and when you are ready to buy a home give me a call

"Posterity"  -you will never know how much it cost my generation to preserve your freedom.  I  hope you will make good use of it.

John Quincy Adams
