If you were born between 1982-1995 then you are indeed an Echo Boomer.  Echo Boomers, AKA Generation Y , are the largest generation of young people since the 60's.  Echo Boomers have a huge impact on many aspects of our economy including the housing market .  According to current U.S. Census figures, 67.2 percent of this generation are expected to be homeowners by their mid-30's.  They will be buying homes alongside move-up buyer's from other generations.  Add to this equation that Americans are living longer therefore staying in their homes longer and you will see why we currently have a shortage of housing.
