Let go of your ego!
This week I have been reminded of what an egotistical business this is. I am not an egomaniac by any stretch of the imagination. I don't only sell big fancy house, I don't only work with seller's and I certainly don't spend a lot of time talking about what a great agent I am. I sell real estate, that's my job! Not to mention, actions speak louder than words.
Over the week I have dealt with agent's who insist I talk with their assistant who has no idea what she is talking about. And then there is the agent that specifically states in his agent remarks that if the property shows ACTIVE, then it is available, all to find out it isn't! Oh and I can't forget the out of area agent that said someone took the keys out of the lockbox. If I want to show the property I can drive to her office in Orange County and pick up the keys and leave them in the lockbox when I am done, you know because she is too busy to do it herself!
My client's are NOT people who are impressed with people that are impressed with themselves. They don't need an agent that drives a fancy car or has a bus bench with his or her photo on it. My clients are busy hard working people, who need an agent they can trust and count on to be there to guide them through the sale or purchase of their home. My client's are the reason why I am in this business not my ego! So for all of you egomaniac's out there...keep it up, you are just making me look good!
