I don't know about you but purchasing my home is by far the biggest investment I have ever made.  The Mortgage Interest Deduction was a huge tax incentive to me as it is to all of my clients when purchasing a home.  Unfortunately Obama has proposed to put a cap on Mortgage Interest Deduction!  I am strongly opposed to this proposal because it undermines the basic foundation of homeownership especially when you consider our current housing crisis! 

The Mortgage Interest Deduction was introduced in 1913, I know Americans voted for change but as my Grandmother used to say, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”
