Home For The Holidays
When I was a kid my Mom would take us to Webb's during the holidays so we could sit on Santa's lap (not my favorite thing to do) Brand Blvd. always looked so nicely decorated, we especially loved the Glendale Federal Christmas Tree. Since we were dressed up we would have dinner at Pike's Verdugo Oaks and my Dad would order us a Shirley Temple. Life was simple back in those days and an evening like that was huge to us kids!
In an effort to keep up the family tradition (by today's standards that is) I took my nieces to the Americana last night. We saw Four Christmas' with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon (cute movie) and then we did a little shopping, have you seen the prices at Kitson, what am I missing!. Then we had a nice dinner at Fridas, instead of a Shirley Temple I had a Mojito
We finished dinner in time for the snow and then we ended the evening with a nice drive home admiring all of the Christmas lights.
Glendale has changed a lot over the years but one thing remains the same, Glendale is still a great place to live and I am glad to be Home For The Holidays!
