This weekend while shopping with my darling nieces and my brother, I noticed that owls have made a comeback.  They are on everything from t-shirts to handbags.  My brother reminded me of my cool Woodsy Owl t-shirt that I had when I was a kid and then decided that it was necessary to drive us crazy with the Woodsy Owl song all day!  Then the fires reminded us of Smokey Bear (not Smokey the Bear) and another favorite, McGruff the crime dog "Take A Bite Out Of Crime".  Talk about a stoll down memory lane!
