As all of you know a student was struck and killed this week in front of Toll Middle School.  According to the Glendale News Press the driver was only traveling at a speed of 10 MPH but was distracted and didn't see the girl crossing the street. 

This is a tragic reminder to all of us that we need to practice safety at all times.  This evening I ask that all of you drive carefully and if you are out with your children please make sure to be safe and don't assume that drivers can see you.  So many of the costumes that the kids are wearing are dark and drivers can't always see them.
