The other day I was driving through the Kenneth Village and I noticed the new benches.  I also noticed that they seemed quite close to the street and I wondered why they were facing the street instead of the merchants. The very next day my neighbor (former owner of the Foothill Gift Shop) asked me if I had noticed the benches and asked if I noticed how close to the street they were.  Yes, I replied and she went on to tell me that she called the city and expressed concern about the close location to the street and suggested that it would be safer if they were turned around to face the other way.  After talking with several people at the city she finally got someone's attention and they were turned around the next day!  Needless to say she was very pleased with the quick response to her concern.
