One bad apple spoils the whole bunch!
We have all heard the term "One bad apple spoils the whole bunch" a term I use often when I spot a home that is suffering from deferred maintenance. When you live in a pride of ownership neighborhood like we do it's hard not to notice a bad apple. The good news is that the City of Glendale has a department called Neighborhood Services that you can call to report these bad apples. The number is 818-548-3700, you don't have to give any of your personal information just the address of the home you would like to report and you will need to describe the problem. Typically homeowners are served with a letter explaining the violation and given 30 days to comply. Click here to read the Code Compliance Casebook , all homeowners should be aware of the city ordinances.
Some of our neighbor's aren't aware that they might be a "Bad Apple" which is why our city staff is always friendly and helpful when they visit homeowners. The city of Glendale offers several programs to help eligible resident's with home repairs. For more information call 818-548-3936.
