Well in spite of the heat wave we had over the weekend I managed to have a very successful open house at my listing on Lee Drive Saturday.  People were out and about and I even had three agents show the house while I was there.  It was nice to see my friend Martha who stopped in with her client and her dog!  I chatted with a couple of different people who wanted to talk about purchasing a home.  I am surprised at the number of people that I have talked to recently that claim to be seriously house hunting but have not yet talked to a lender.  When I work with buyer's I insist that they get pre-approvedwith a lender.  I  explain closing costs to them and I make sure they know what they will be paying in taxes.  You should have seen the look on one guys face when I told him what taxes were in LA County, he literally had no idea and was very thankful for the information and I was glad to be of service!
